| USPAP Pricing FAQ |
| Q: Why are your classes more expensive than some offered
by other providers? |
| A: Many course providers set the course fee, and
then add books, student manuals and other materials. The course cost
for our offering includes the required 2008 edition of USPAP ($30.00),
and the required student manual ($22.00). In some of our locations,
the course fee also includes lunch. After these considerations, the
cost of a William King & Associates seminar is quite competitive
and probably less than most others. |
| Q: Is the 2008 USPAP book required? |
| A: The Appraisal Foundation’s National USPAP
Course requires each student to have a copy of the 2008 edition
of
USPAP. Electronic copies of USPAP are available, but a paper copy
is required in most classes since use of computers during class
is
generally not permitted. |
| Q: What about the student manual, must I have that, too? |
| A: Yes, the student manual is also required. Also,
inside the student manual is a tracking from the each student needs
to fill out and give to the instructor at the end of the class. The
instructor then signs the tracking from and forwards it to The Appraisal
Foundation. Each student who completes the tracking form will receive
a Course Completion Verification Form from the Appraisal Foundation.
|
| Q: Why is it important for the instructor to be approved
by the Appraiser Qualifications Board? |
| A: Only courses taught by AQB approved instructors
who are also state certified appraisers are recognized by The Appraisal
Foundation. USPAP courses taught by non-certified appraisers may also
not be recognized by some states for initial certification credit
and continuing education hours. |
